Market Produce, Shellfish & Washington Wine

We love to visit the local farmers markets and food stores for the beautiful regional produce on offer during most of the year.

One of our favorites is this beautiful asparagus, which we found at the Olympia Farmers Market, only 45 minutes’ drive from Agate Beach House. In between Agate Beach House and Olympia, you will also find Taylor Shellfish’s Retail Store and just a short distance from there is a local wine shop, Walter Dacon – blending Rhone style wines from Washington-grown grapes. This location offers a tasting room and retail store.

Below are a few photos for inspiration. You will find everything you need to prepare and serve local produce and shellfish in the well-stocked kitchen in Agate Beach House, including knives for shucking oysters, tools for cracking crab legs, oyster forks, stock pots and plenty of wine glasses!
